It's only by unflinching support & confidence by our customers shown to us, there came a TURNING POINT after a long time of decay. The powerful light of PRAGA's capability that had been eclipsed, now returns.

The mechanics of a manufacturing industry is easy to understand. The real engine of growth is the PEOPLE AND THEIR MOTIVATION & DIRECTION.

Our job is developing & harnessing talent and thus getting extraordinary work by ordinary people. As a CEO, I being a gardener, providing water & nourishment to our 545 people, of course, some time one has to be harsh to pull out some weed (inactive people) too..

After a lull of over 10 years, Praga made again its foray into export front by bagging orders worth over Rs50 lacs. in the current year We could achieve exports of Rs.85 lakhs in 03-04. The export of machines convey very strongly the strength of Praga's business & ability to compete on a global platform; highlighting its Technological competence & cost advantage.

Parliamentary committee's visit

A 21 member Parliamentary committee team headed by Shri. Santosh bagrodia Chairman visited Praga to assess the future growth potential of the company. The delegation expressed great satisfaction at the progress made by the company.

Mr. A. Didar Singh IAS, Jt. Secretary DHI visited Praga Tools Ltd., to review the performance and also assess the future growth of the company recently.

     
 

RECENT DEVELOPMENTS AND HAPPENINGS
The dispatches this year (2004 - 05) has registered a 40% increase over the corresponding period of previous year.
Direct exports in 2004-05 has registered a growth of 300% over the corresponding period of previous year.

  RECONDITIONING & RETROFITTING
 
  • CNC HORIZONTAL MACHINING CENTRES

Praga has bagged an order for reconditioning and Retrofitting 2 Nos. of CNC Horizontal Machining Centres from M/s BEML, Bangalore. The work is under progress and will be delivered before 31st March 2005.

  • SURFACE GRINDING & THREAD ROLLING MACHINES

- Praga has reconditioned 4 Nos. of Surface Grinders to various customers Viz., TVS Lucas, Groz Beckert & Bimetallic Bearings.
- Praga has reconditioned 2 Nos. of Thread Rolling Machines for M/s. Sundaram Fasteners with TPM feautures.

NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH
PRAGA HYDRAULIC CUTTER & TOOL GRINDER (4 IN ONE MACHINE)

Praga has introduced a Hydraulically operated Multipurpose Grinder (4 in one machine) capable of Cutter and Tool Grinding, Surface grinding, cylindrical grinding and Internal grinding. Surface Grinding can be performed by changing the wheel head within 10 minutes and internal grinding can be done with simple attachment which can also be mounted within 10 minutes.

SAILENT FEATURES

Table working area 1000 X 180 mm.
- X-axis movement by hydraulic over roller cage with M and V guide ways.
- Spindle assembly made of robust construction with 4 Nos. of Angular contact ball bearing (2 Nos. both side)of size 7208 for more rigidity, increased accuracy and to minimize the vibration to negligible level.
- Machine can be reun on hydraulic system besides the standard mechanical movement.

15 TON PRAGA THREAD ROLLING MACHINE

Praga has introduced a 15 Ton Thread Rolling Machine which has been well received in the market. The machine is very economical and has been designed to give value for money.

The machine has bneen built up with hard chrome plated guide bar instead of complicated L-guide which will eliminate lifting of the machine in any condition. The machine can also perform Spline Rolling, Diamond knurling Helical Spline rolling. Grooving, Straightening, by just changing the roll. Reconditioning of this machine is very simple and cost effective.
